This paper deals with the teaching of sustainability in the under-graduation course of Management, analyzing the learning process developed in the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas) in Betim, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The authors discuss the perception of professors, students and the coordination of the course about the disclosure of social and environmental issues in the different activities of teaching, research, and university-society relationship that make up the
training of the under-graduation students. This research analyzes the challenges and prospects for environmental learning and point to factors that promote or hinder the construction of an environmental awareness and a more advanced posture related to the social responsibility among the future managers. The research strategies adopted are based on the collection of secondary data related to the regulation of teaching of Management in Brazil and in the world, and review the documents produced by the course. We collected primary data by conducting semi-structured interviews with professors, students, and the head of the course, and questionnaires applied to the same audience. The environmental education in the Management course is relevant not only by the promotion of sustainable development, but also because it represents one of the most important
objects of research in the field of knowledge of the Management, drawing the attention of researchers and research centers in Brazil and worldwide.
