Resumo
A Educação a Distância (EaD) pode
ser considerada um exemplo de inovação em
educação no Brasil. Porém, há uma preocupação
sobre sua efetividade e qualidade. Essa inquietação
justifica uma reflexão que aborda, em particular,
o ato da orientação acadêmica a Trabalhos
de Conclusão de Curso. Foi realizado um estudo
descritivo-exploratório com base no referencial
teórico sobre EaD, no histórico da EaD desde o
início do século passado e no envolvimento do
professor orientador, tutores e demais agentes
no processo de orientação ao aluno concluinte/
orientando. Concluiu-se que, muito mais do que
o simples emprego de tecnologias digitais, o elemento
humano e a partilha de conhecimentos
entre professor e orientando são imprescindíveis
para a percepção da qualidade.
Resumo (EN)
Distance Education (DE) can be
considered an example of innovation in education
in Brazil. However, there are concerns about
its effectiveness and quality. This concern justifies
a reflection which particularly addresses the ac
-ademic orientation to course conclusion papers.
A descriptive exploratory study was held based on the theoretical framework on Distance Education,
in the history of DE since the beginning
of the last century and in the involvement of the
mentor teacher, tutors and other agents in the
process of guiding the student. It was concluded
that much more than the simple use of digital technologies,
the human element and the sharing of
knowledge between teacher and the student is
essential in order to perceive the quality.
