Resumo (EN)
The Cherubism is a rare nonneoplastic bone disease, with hereditary character, that appears in children mainly of masculine gender. Clinically, the injuries are characterized by a bilateral increase of the jaws, that tends to progress until puberty, when usually spontaneous remission occurs. The treatment depends on the clinical development, however there is no protocol defining what is the best procedure in each case, being the clinician´s criterion decisive for the treatment.
