Objective – To develop a film based on the food pyramid children’s films. Methods – We selected five of the Oscar winning films of the animation genre. Data collection was done at each appearance of some food in movies. Recorded in a spread sheet, in which second, minute or hour of animated food appeared, how long was exposed and the frequency at which reappeared during the plot. From the data obtained we constructed a pyramid with foods displayed during movies and those who were exposed for longer. Results – The products were sorted into ten groups and distributed in a pyramid Film according to the number of portions. The two groups were the most exposed group of vegetables and the group of sugars and sweets, which has positive and negative influence, respectively, in the diet of children. Conclusion – Pyramid film differs from the brazilian food pyramid, showing a higher proportion relating to the consumption of foods rich in sugar (candy and soda).
