Objective – To analyse the professional profile of graduates of higher education in aesthetics and cosmetics. Methods – For this purpose, an observational-transversal study, which addressed 50 individuals trained in higher education in aesthetic and cosmetic between 2009 to 2014, was performed. The participants answered questions related to the situation, expectation and perspective on the profession. Results –The results showed that a significant majority of beauticians technologists exercises his professional activity within their area of training and deemed to be satisfied in relation to the profession, however, on income, not so much. Most professionals reported that the quality of education was the main factor for the choice of course and university, however, it became apparent the low continued his studies in graduate courses. Conclusion – The egress from the upper reaches of aesthetics, is now a qualified professional, which in general, is satisfied with his profession. However, the financial embodiment is not absolute. It is hoped that the initiative of this study be expanded, providing more data on the different brazilian regions, expanding the vision of the competent bodies towards meeting the requirements of educational and political resources on the social importance of technologist professional performance in Aesthetics and Cosmetics.
