Objective – This study aimed to assess hydration and nutrition. The bicycle is part of the group of exercises and long-term activities, requiring a lot of energy to carry out the training, that is, a diet for amateur or professional athletes must meet all energy needs. Methods – A food diary with days between training and rest was applied to cyclists in the municipality of Taubaté-SP. Results – Cross-sectional study, with 30 male cyclists, aged between 20 and 50 years. Food consumption was determined by the WebDiet software, based on the 3 alternate days food. Among cyclists found eating habits on the training day as well as hydration. Conclusion – The data show inadequate nutrition and hydration for amateur cyclists, which can influence their performance.
