Resumo (EN)
Objective – To evaluate the respiratory muscle strength and pelvic and concomitant isolated, and their correlation in Dependent Smokers and Non Smokers. Methods– This is a clinical study, prospective and controlled with 10 women divided into 2 groups (n = 5): the GI – GII and Non Smokers – Nicotine Addiction. They were submitted for evaluation of respiratory muscles by the manometer and evaluation of pelvic floor by biofeedback. Results – In the technique of correlation coefficient by Pearson's only MEP of Dependent Smokers was higher than that of Non Smokers, while the MIP and the contraction of the pelvic floor muscles were better in participants Non Smokers. In the correlation of MEP / MIP, with the concomitant contraction of the MAP, those of Non Smokers were better in all outcomes. Conclusion – Dependent Smokers have lower contractile capacity and isolated pelvic and respiratory concomitants.
