Endometriosis is a gynecological disease characterized by the presence of endometrial tissue outside the uterine cavity. The increase in the search for treatment and pain relief boosted the association between food and the pathogenesis of the disease. It is an integrative review with the aim of analyzing the correlation between food and endometriosis aiming at the prevention and treatment of pathogenesis. Searches were carried out in the electronic databases SciELO, PUBMED and LILACS over the last ten years. The search resulted in 8 studies, which were read in full and synthesized in two categories, entitled “macronutrients” and “micronutrients”. In conclusion, he noted that diet therapy proved to be important in the prevention and treatment of endometriosis by boosting the immune and hormonal system and reducing symptoms through the influence of the following nutrients: proteins, the balance of omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids, dietary fibers , vitamins A, B, C, D and E, calcium, magnesium, copper and selenium
