Resumo (EN)
Objective – To evaluate and compare hemodynamic variables – blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR) and double product (DP) of adults of both sexes pre and post the stair climbing test. Methods– Participated in this 126 volunteers aged between 18 and 50 years from a private university from São Paulo/SP. Results – In the pre-test only FC was not statistically different between groups, and for post this occurred for DP; systolic blood pressure (SBP) increased by a statistically significant manner from pre- to post-test, diastolic blood pressure (DBP) decreased, but significantly in males, HR and DP showed a significant increase in both groups. Conclusion – The stairclimbing test was able to promote significant hemodynamic changes in both groups, even in intra- and intergroup comparison.
