Introduction — This study evaluated the distribution of the rotational growth groups of Lavergne and Petrovic, using the angle measured ANB and the individualization of the angle ANB proposed by Goffi, in young Brazilian individuals, presenting Basal and Dental Class | with facial type provertion. Methods — Twenty teleradiographys were selected in lateral norm, being 14 male and 6 female. These teleradiographys were of individuals that presented the facial type provertion, that were not submitted to previous orthodontic-orthopedic treatment. Results — The results were appraised for the statistical tests of arithmetic mean, standard deviation, test “t” of Student for sample. Conclusion — The individualization of the angle ANB, did not show statistically influence in the distribution of the rotational groups of Lavergne and Petrovic in patients with facial type provertions
Resumo
Introdução — O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a distribuição dos grupos rotacionais de crescimento de Lavergne e Petrovic, utilizando o ângulo ANB medido e a individualização do ângulo ANB proposta por Goffi, em indivíduos jovens, brasileiros, portadores de Classe | Basal e Dentária com tipo facial provertido. Métodos — Foram selecionadas 20 telerradiografias em norma lateral. As referidas telerradiografias eram de indivíduos que apresentavam o tipo facial provertido, que não foram submetidos a tratamento ortodôntico-ortopédico prévio. Sendo 14 do gênero masculino e 6 do gênero feminino. Resultados - Os resultados foram avaliados pelos testes estatísticos de média aritmética, desvio padrão, teste “t" de Student para amostra pareada. Conclusão — A individualização do ângulo ANB, estatisticamente não influenciou na distribuição dos grupos rotacionais de Lavergne e Petrovic em pacientes do tipo facial provertidos.
