Objective – To evaluate the quality of raw milk by analyzing the records containing the TBC (total bacterial count) and SCC (somatic cell count) values from the producers associated with a cooperative in the interior of São Paulo, through milk clinic - Superior School of Agriculture Luiz de Queiroz/USP of Piracicaba - SP registered in the RBQL. Methods – A specific analysis of charts containing the TBC and SCC values from producers associated with cooperative, was carried out from January 2016 to January 2017. Results – It was found that, out of 1.324 samples analyzed for SCC and TBC, 45,39% of samples were non-standard for SCC and 51,51% were non-standard for TBC; 32,59% of the 135 SCC files and 41,48% of the 135 TBC files analyzed are presented for a period of six months or more above the IN 62 standards. It was also observed that 17,04% of the charts analyzed, presented both SCC and TBC, above the standards of IN 62. Conclusion – The samples analyzed for SCC and TBC showed indexes outside the standard, which demonstrates the lack of care of the producer with the animal and dairy production. The milk that presents high rates of CCS and CBT is not enough to reach the consumer (human being) directly, because to reach the industry, he passes through sterilization processes to eliminate pathogenic microorganisms making it suitable for consumption.
