Introduction – The aim of this study was to demonstrate an adaptation of the model analysis by digitalized method to become more trustful, including changes in the formula to calculate the total discrepancy. Material and Methods – To demonstrate the differences between the analysis through direct method and through digitalized method, were used: lower study models with an accentuated Spee’s Curve, scanner, computer software, brass wire, dry compass, scale in milimeters. Results – The results showed that digitalized method products a three-dimensional image (3D) onto a two-dimensional plan (2D), with discrepant and statiscally different measurements (level 5%) when compared to direct method’s values. The digitalized direct method the measurements of required or present space are higher than that found by digitalized methods, where such spaces are underestimated by two-dimensional projection of the images. Conclusion – The method of analysis must be chosen individually for each case, and there are ways to compensate an eventual technical deficiency in the images caption.
