Flusser, o designer de futuros: entrevista com Norval Baitello Jr.

In an interview, researcher Norval Baitello Junior provides a comprehensive account of the importance of philosopher Vilém Flusser for understanding the world we live in today. As we commemorate the centenary of the birth of this visionary and provocative thinker, we realize how relevant and urgent Flusser's work remains. Although he died in 1991, his thought continues to illuminate reflections on contemporary themes, such as the digital world in which we are immersed and the proliferation of images and their impact on human behavior. We can also find in the theories of the Czech philosopher, who lived for decades in Brazil, clues to understanding the human condition, even in times of pandemic, such as the one that marked the year 2020. A central point of the interview is also the process that allowed Brazil to become the headquarters of the Flusser Archive in São Paulo, an initiative mirroring the original in Germany, and how this important space has been contributing to the evolution of research on the work of one of the most brilliant thinkers of the 20th century.
