Resumo (EN)
It is through the intermediality studies that examine the relationship between media and understand these as basic instruments of society observation, that this research verifies the remediations occurred between the materialization of The Hunger Games fictional work, which converges in various media and in different ways: from literature through audio description, which runs through film and reaches the internet and video games. This work presents a totalitarian nation where occurs a radical division of social classes, where a consumerist minority lives in opulence, while the majority mass lives in an imposed dictatorship of misery, hunger and servility, standing out among the various subterfuges to this control the use of the mass media as indoctrination way, especially the reality show in the form of game, which gives its name to the work. Among the various existing resignifications, like the recreation of classical antiquity elements or concepts brought by the literary canons of dystopian genre, this research proposes the occurring of appropriations and up-to-date the Nazi totalitarian aesthetics to the contemporary spectator public, with an especially materialized ambience through its transposition to screens. To support this position, this research is formulated by means of theoretical and empirical studies of qualitative nature, being developed through bibliographic and documentary research by imagery, visual and textual analysis – such as books, movies, video games, magazines, articles, websites and social networks – building data by observation. Permeating the dissertation, there was parallel with this fiction to the present social situation exposed in the media, raising questions about power relations, exacerbated consumption, and imminence of real and symbolic violence presented in both inequalities, fictional and non- fictional. Finally, we reached the conclusion that validating the use of intermediality to observe the different significations presented in the work Hunger Games, and how these concepts permeate reality.
