Resumo
In March, 2022, during the 9th World Water Forum in Dakar, IPWS launched the special edition of the Water Journal that was specially produced in a partnership with the Journal itself and the International Centre on Water and Transdisciplinarity (CIRAT) – and contains articles on the molecular structure of water contributed by scientists worldwide. The special edition was launched during the “IPWS Scientific Meeting: the molecular structure of water and the future” webinar.
Resumo (EN)
CIRAT presently occupies IPWS’ Executive Secretariat and was responsible for summoning the articles that – together – make up a bold and innovative statement to the advancement of knowledge about water. The idea behind the special edition was, in fact, to disseminate advanced knowledge about water at different structural levels, offering new perspectives on this crucial topic – towards a fresh understanding of water amidst the many challenges the contemporary world is now facing.
“Cooperation from an avant-garde perspective and possible paths towards the future: these ideas translate the special edition of the Water Journal that we launched at this WWF in Dakar,” says Brazilian professor Leoni Bonamin (from UNIP) – who is specialised in ultra dilutions of biologically active substances and their effects on living systems and the edition’s invited editor.

This Special Edition of WATER – A Multidisciplinary Research Journal is dedicated to Dr. Luc Montagnier (1932-2022), Nobel Prize winner in 2008, who dedicated his scientific life to virology and the development of vaccines for AIDS. He inspired scientists worldwide to work in a fair play manner without fear of facing an open discussion on critical subjects even when being misunderstood; to be bold but humble; and to always focus on the benefits for humanity and the planet.
