To identify the risk factors for post-partum depression and prepare a proposal for risk classification. This was an integrative review of the literature, conducted through the Google Scholar and Lilacs Data Banks, published in the last 5 years. For search of the articles, the following crossings were performed: “Post-Partum Depression and Risk Factores”. Sixteen risk factors for post-partum depression were identified, most frequently: previous psyclological factors, low economic income, stressful events and impaired marital relationships. The identification of risk factors for the development of post-partum depression may support prenatal care to prevent the onset of post-partum illness.
