Objective – To identify aspects epidemiological, clinical and therapeutic management of cutaneous leishmaniasis in the city of Montes Claros/MG. Methods – This is a documentary research, cross sectional, descriptive and quantitative. Was conducted at the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance of the Municipal Health Montes Claros/MG. We used a questionnaire, based on the notification form System Diseases Information and Notifications. Results – During this period (2000-2010) 2072 cases were reported this disease, 35.7% have basic education; 87.9% had skin type injury, 93.8% used clinical and laboratory criteria for confirmation/disease, 81% are autochthonous cases, and 89.7% uses pentavalent antimony drug of first choice. Conclusion – Through data analysis, it is concluded that cutaneous leishmaniasis is prevalent in less educated, with a prevalence of skin lesions among the majority of cases and significant increase in notifications due to the region is endemic for the disease.
