To analyze the results on the applicability of the use of resisted kinesiotherapy in physiotherapeutic treatment for patients with Fibro-myalgia Syndrome. The present research was a narrative-type literature review. Whose data were extracted from scientific articles pu-blished in English and Portuguese between 2010 and 2020, in the databases Pubmed, Scielo, Lilacs and PEDro using the followingdescriptors in Portuguese: Physiotherapy, fibromyalgia, exercise therapy, resistance exercise and women. And in English: fibromyalgia,Physical Therapy Modalities, Exercise Therapy, Women, Resistance Training. A total of 18 articles were previously selected and afterthe application of the eligibility criteria 6 publications were included. The physical therapy intervention, in addition to promotingsymptom control, adapts physical capacities using several resources such as active resisted kinesiotherapy, in which several studieshave demonstrated the effectiveness and influence on quality of life with satisfactory results. With these findings, it can be concluded that active resisted kinesiotherapy is effective in improving symptoms and quality of life for patients with fibromyalgia.
