Introduction — Polyunsaturated fatty acids (w-3 and w-6) are essentials lipids for our organismo and have to be supplied of diet. The objective of this research was to avail the nutritional state of low-income children received in the crêche, before and after supplementation with Canola Oil, source of these lipids. Methods — Forty children receivea diary this oil, 8 mL, during 3 months. Assessment physic, dietetic, clinical and biochemistry were done before, during and after supplementation. Results — The benefits were confirmea, with significant improvement of the children immunity and stature and weight development, psycho and intellectual. Conclusion — Much infectious illness may be that whether it are controlled across the adequate consume of w-3 and w-6 (5:1), diary.
