Objective – To analyze the profile of care takers of PSN treated between March 2011 and April 2013 in the Center for the study and attendance to Patients with special needs of the Dentistry School at the Paulista University (UNIP-SP). Methods – Forms were filled by 216 care takers and the results wee calculated in percentages. Results – 85% of care takers brush teeth of PSN once a day. Daily flossing are 2%. 49% had never taken PSN to dental visits. 62% believe general welfare of PSN does not include oral health care. 89%of care takers have never received guidance on oral health care. Conclusions – Management of PSN by their care takers is still deficient in all professional, interpesornal and/or governmental extents.
