Objective– To evaluate access to dental health services for special patients through a integrative review of the literature. The Ministryof Health launched the National Oral Health Policy – Brasil Sorridente, which brings together a series of actions to expand access tofree dental treatment, through the Unified Health System (SUS). Methods– For the development of this study a systematic review wascarried out in the databases of the Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde and Pubmed. The following terms were used: Heatlh Services Accessibility, Dental Care for disabled and oral health, in Portuguese and English, and expanded to title, abstract and subject, filtered in theform of complete article available, without date or year limit, involving Brazil (health system in Brazil). Results– 32 articles werefound, of which 1 were repeated, 4 were literature review, 1 case report, 21 did not correspond to the Brazilian health system, remaining5 articles related to the topic. Conclusion– There is access to dental health services for special patients, but many users are unawareof these services, and both patients and professional dental surgeons point to a lack of adequate structure to receive them.
