Objective: To evaluate the effects of physiotherapeutic rehabilitation on motor and functional outcomes in patients with spinal cord injury (SCI) treated at a physiotherapy service. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted with 13 patients with SCI treated between 2003 and 2023 at Universidade Paulista (UNIP), Sorocaba campus. Sociodemographic data, neurological classification according to the ASIA scale, muscle strength, activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, postural balance, gait, and treatment adherence were analyzed. Results: Most patients were male (84.6%), with a mean age of 39.3 years. The neurological impairment grades were predominantly ASIA A and D. No changes in neurological classification were observed at the end of treatment. However, muscle strength gains were identified in 46.2% of patients, particularly in the upper limbs. Improvements were observed in ADLs (15.4%), functional mobility (15.4%), postural balance (23.1%), and gait (7.7%). Treatment adherence was 92.3%. Conclusion: Physiotherapeutic rehabilitation was associated with gains in muscle strength and specific improvements in functional outcomes among patients with SCI, despite the maintenance of neurological classification. These findings suggest potential benefits of physiotherapy for functional recovery, particularly when performed systematically and initiated early.
