A relação da discinese escapular com dores no ombro: revisão da literatura

Scapular Dyskinesis (SD) is characterized by changes in the position and movements of the scapula in relation to the rib cage. These changes have been related to muscle imbalances, complaints of pain and shoulder injuries. The presence of ED related to pain symptoms in the shoulder suggests that there is a causal relationship between them, although in the literature, few studies have addressed this relationship and there is still a great deal of conflict on this subject. The objective of this review was to analyze studies that evaluated ED and shoulder pain and to verify if there is a relationship between these variables. For the search strategy, the articles were searched in the following databases: Biblioteca Virtual da Saúde - BVS, PubMed e Scielo. As inclusion and exclusion criteria, the following were admitted: studies that evaluated Scapular Dyskinesis in physically active or sedentary over 18 years old, that evaluated the presence of shoulder pain in these individuals or that compared these two measures. Studies with professional athletes and studies published more than 10 years ago were excluded from this review. In the article selection process, duplicates were initially removed, then each article was selected by title, and then by abstract to verify its suitability. Subsequently, the selected articles were read in full to determine their inclusion or exclusion in the study. At the end of the selection, 7 articles were included in the present research. Based on the analyzed studies, it was possible to observe that, in general, there is no relationship between ND and shoulder pain or dysfunction.
