To establish the profile of health and prevalent diseases and relate them to the oral health conditions of female patients with HIV/AIDS treated in the last 10 years at the Centro de Estudos e Atendimento a Pacientes Especiais - CEAPE/UNIP. Epidemiological, observational descriptive and cross-sectional study of female patients with HIV/AIDS aged 30 years or more treated at CEAPE - UNIP, during the period from Jan. 1, 2011 to Jan. 1, 2021. The instrument used for data collection was the dental record, specifically the document used to perform the anamnesis at the first consultation of the HIV/AIDS patient. 40 medical records of HIV/AIDS patients were analyzed, the mean age was 49.1 years (SD±7.7), 52.5% were non-white and 48.7% had completed high school. most patients with HIV/AIDS have a plaque index - PI considered bad and localized and generalized gingivitis. Health promotion actions that mitigate diseases of the oral cavity are fundamental for these patients and thus reduce the need for curative interventions that are sometimes difficult to perform and cannot always be performed in the outpatient clinic, requiring referral to the operating room and use of general anesthesia.
Resumo
Estabelecer o perfil de saúde e doenças prevalentes e relacioná-los às condições de saúde bucal de pacientes do sexo feminino com HIV/AIDS atendidas nos últimos 10 anos no Centro de Estudos e Atendimento a Pacientes Especiais - CEAPE/UNIP. Estudo epidemiológico, observacional, descritivo e transversal de pacientes do sexo feminino com HIV/AIDS, com idade igual ou superior a 30 anos, atendidas no CEAPE - UNIP, no período de 1º de janeiro de 2011 a 1º de janeiro de 2021. O instrumento utilizado para a coleta de dados foi o prontuário odontológico, especificamente o documento utilizado para a anamnese na primeira consulta da paciente com HIV/AIDS. Foram analisados 40 prontuários médicos de pacientes com HIV/AIDS, com idade média de 49,1 anos (DP±7,7), 52,5% não brancos e 48,7% com ensino médio completo. A maioria dos pacientes com HIV/AIDS apresenta índice de placa (IP) considerado ruim e gengivite localizada e generalizada. Ações de promoção da saúde que atenuem as doenças da cavidade oral são fundamentais para esses pacientes e, assim, reduzem a necessidade de intervenções curativas que, por vezes, são difíceis de realizar e nem sempre podem ser feitas em regime ambulatorial, exigindo encaminhamento para centro cirúrgico e uso de anestesia geral.
