This paper proposes to develop a new method of acquiring and processing data collected in Oral Diagnosis, tested at UNIP's Stomatology clinic -lndianopolis Campus. This method consists of a clinical file, developed specially for this survey, based on the Guide to epidemiology and diagnosis of oral mucosa/ diseases and conditions that guides the examiner to carry through a correct diagnosis and a data base that promotes a statistical analysis of the stored data. The sample consists of 125 patients who were examined since August 2005 until December 2006. From this total, 86 are female gender and 39 are male gender. Concerning color, the majority, of white people, corresponds to 91 patients and 34 were considered not white. The average age of these patients is 46. One hundred and six patients of the total sample exhibited lesions in the oral mucosal during the examination procedure and generally it was a single lesion (83 cases). The more affected places were hard palate (18 cases), lower lip (17 cases) and tongue (13 cases). According to final diagnosis, inflammatory hyperplasias (13 cases), traumatic ulcers (nine cases), periapical cysts (seven cases) and capillary hemangioma (five cases) were the most prevalent injuries found. Concerning precancerous and cancerous lesions, we observed three cases of actinic cheilitis and leukoplakia each. Squamous cell carcinoma was diagnosed in three cases.
