Resumo (EN)
The purpose of this study was to evaluate in vivo the biocompatibility of AH-Plus, Acroseal and EndoREZ resin endodontic cements, after implantation in connective tissue of sixteen rats. The cements were inserted into polyethylene tubes and implanted in specific areas of the animals dorsal subcutaneous. The blocks of tissue were removed after 24 hours, 72 hours, 7 days and 21 days, histologically processed and observed under optic microscopy. The results indicated that all cements induced mild inflammatory reaction that decreased with the experiment time. The tissues showed the best biological response when Acroseal cement was used, followed by AH-Plus and EndoREZ.
