Resumo (EN)
Automotive companies have a relevant participation in the national economic scenario. Industry 4.0, part of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, has influenced the business world, especially the productive sector, using new technologies. This work aims to evaluate how the industries of the automotive segment, in Brazil, have been leading the transition process to Industry 4.0. The development of qualitative and quantitative research took place through surveys applied to managers of companies in the automotive segment and industries in general. The main results pointed out as obstacles to the transition, the lack of knowledge on the subject, low use of new technologies and insufficient investment level. As expectation of gains, we highlight the increase in productivity and the reduction of costs. Regarding the stages of implementation of new technologies, the companies showed that they are still in the initial stages, that is, they are still taking the first steps to carry out the transition, and lean manufacturing appears as an important facilitator.
