"Sources for a scripts manual about art and cultura in TV" is a research based on bibliographical and exploratory methodology, intending to find consistent elements for to elaborate a TV script manual. Is it viable to find basis, in times of fragmentation knowledge, for this kind of manual? The research has focused in three aspects: 1) the study of television as media in Brazil, since its origin, with influences of other media and arts (like theater, cinema and radio), also approaching the study of political and economical history, as well as programming. Since the implantation until now, TV became the most powerful and influent media in Brazil, without forgetting the audience; 2) radio and TV as tough in the universities, a basis for professionals who are in charge of scriptwriters; 3) to complete the tripod, a study of script and the social role of the scriptwriter and his ethics. With those bases, it was possible to make a rough-draw of a manual (content and format).
