The research aims to identify factors related to knowledge transfer as value creation by stakeholdersin recyclable materials cooperatives in the city of São Paulo. Through exploratory-descriptive research, multiple case study. For data collection, a semi-structured interview scriptused, applied to the collectors, representatives and technicians of the cooperatives. In addition, the techniques of document analysis and direct observation used with the help of the Field Diary. From the data analysis, it was possible to observe that the definitive, dominant and dependent stakeholderstransfer the explicit knowledge while the discrete stakeholders, the tacit knowledge. The research results indicate that the transferof knowledge through collaborative governance to the managers of the cooperatives allows the construction of instruments for the multiplication ofknowledge appropriate to the reality of the cooperative members. It is concludingthat although the saliencemodel recommends different treatment to different stakeholders, resulting from the attributes of power, legitimacy and urgency, the transfer of knowledge in socio-environmental management networks, through collaborative governance, enables the creation ofvalue for all agents involved
